The 11 alternatives described below represent the narrowed set of alternatives that were evaluated in this project.  During the first round of screening, these alternatives were selected from the 45 alternatives initially proposed.  The 11 alternatives were further evaluated in the second round of screening.

Ten of these alternatives were developed by combining the most promising suggestions, identified using community input and criteria, into complete packages of transportation improvements in the Harmony Road corridor.  These are known as "build" alternatives.  Another alternative that was screened in the second tier is the Transportation System Management/Transportation Demand Management (TSM/TDM) Alternative, also shown below.  These 11 alternatives were screened based on technical selection criteria to further narrow the range of alternatives for advancement into the Draft EIS.

A twelfth alternative, known as the "No-Build Alternative," was also evaluated in this project.  The no-build alternative assumes that the planned improvements to Harmony Road and Sunnybrook Boulevard are not carried forward, though 28 separate transportation projects in the Harmony Road area already planned and funded will be implemented.  The no-build alternative provides a baseline to compare future conditions among the alternatives selected for impact analysis.

Each PDF file below contains a map and a text description of each alternative.  These alternatives were discussed at Open House #3, held on November 28, 2007.
